We help women in food, beverage, and hospitality industries succeed, while promoting and enhancing sustainable food systems, and working to ensure food security to all people.

Membership Criteria


  • Shall be professional women of good reputation and achievement who are currently engaged in careers in food, fine beverage, and hospitality fields for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Have made contributions through volunteer activities in the community.
  • Are dedicated to furthering the role of women in the culinary and related professions.
  • Exhibit ethical practices in their work and will not use the organization for personal profit or gain.
  • Have attended one or more Greater Des Moines Chapter-sponsored events prior to nomination for membership.
  • Agree to devote energy and time to the programs, work harmoniously with others, and actively support Les Dames d’Escoffier fundraising activities.
